ABOUT ME
Ben Samara
WHERE I COME FROM
I am Ben Samara, and I am running for Manalapan Township Committee. Throughout my adult life, my primary focus has been on helping others. I am eager to bring that same passion and dedication to the Manalapan community as a member of the Township Committee. With a genuine desire to serve, I offer a wealth of experience, empathy, cooperation, and a track record of effective leadership. I am committed to working tirelessly to ensure a better future for the residents of Manalapan. Together, we can find common sense and common ground to make a continued positive impact on this already thriving community.
A lifelong New Jersey resident, I've been a Manalapan resident since 2009. I have been a high school track and field coach since 2006 and an elementary school counselor since 2009. I'm proud to have dedicated myself to the betterment of others during my career.
My proven leadership skills are evident through my roles as an adjunct professor and individual supervisor at The College of New Jersey and as a program supervisor and day camp director at the Princeton Recreation Department, where I have been able to create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for individuals of all ages.
I have my top priorities. Whether it's advocating for better garbage collection policies, fostering education initiatives and campaigns to prevent crime and theft in our town, or supporting and investing in our wonderful recreation department, it's clear there are big things to do here in Manalapan. I want to hear what your priorities are, though.
E-mail me anytime at samaraformanalapan@gmail.com with questions, concerns, or priorities for our town. I will personally return your message so we can start a dialogue on the issues that matter most to you. Together, we can look forward to a bright future for Manalapan!
MISSION STATEMENT
Common Sense, Common Ground
"Common Sense, Common Ground" reflects my core values as a candidate for the Manalapan Township Committee. I see firsthand how partisan politics are tearing our country apart, and I am committed to changing that narrative. While I understand that not everyone will always agree with me, I pledge to approach every issue with an open mind and a willingness to listen. I firmly believe that if we use common sense, we can find common ground on just about every issue.

On the local level, I am acutely aware that we all have far more in common than not. Manalapan residents come from diverse backgrounds and hold different perspectives, but there is a shared foundation that unites us. By focusing on our commonalities rather than our differences, I aim to foster an environment of understanding and collaboration. It is by finding areas of agreement and building upon them that we can create a stronger and more harmonious community.
"Common Sense, Common Ground" reflects my unwavering dedication to seeking practical and reasonable solutions to local issues with all stakeholders. Through promoting unity and emphasizing shared values, I am determined to bridge political divides and work towards a brighter future for Manalapan.
